Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Prizmek collects, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It's written to be read, not to be impressive.

Who we are

Prizmek is a technology services company based in Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas, providing managed IT, web design and hosting, networking, audio/visual and arcade services.

What we collect

When you contact us

If you use a form on this site, or contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email, we collect what you give us:

• Your name and business name
• Your email address and phone number
• What service you're asking about, and any details you include

When you become a client

To deliver the work we hold what the job requires, billing details, domain and hosting account information, network and system documentation, and the access credentials needed to support your systems. Credentials are held only where we need them to do the work you've asked for.

Who else sees your information

We use a small number of outside services to run this site and the business. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job:

• Google Analytics — records which pages are visited, roughly where in the world a visitor is, and what kind of device they used. It also records when someone taps our phone number, WhatsApp link or email address, or submits a form. It is told that a form was sent; it is not given anything you typed into it.
• Formspree — receives everything you do submit through a form on this site, including the client intake form, and delivers it to us by email.
• Our hosting provider — stores the website files, and any business email accounts included in your plan.
• Domain registrars — where we register or manage a domain in your name.

Some of these providers process data outside The Bahamas. We don't sell your information and we don't share it for anyone else's marketing. We may disclose it where the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't become work are kept for up to two years, in case you come back to us. Client records are kept for the length of the engagement and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet accounting and legal obligations. Access credentials are removed when an engagement ends.

Keeping it safe

This site is served over HTTPS. Access to client systems and credentials is limited to what's needed to deliver the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we don't hold information we don't need, which is the most reliable protection there is.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection (Privacy of Personal Information) Act of The Bahamas, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete information we no longer have a reason to keep
• Stop using your details to contact you about our services

Email info@prizmek.com and we'll respond within a reasonable period. There's no charge for a straightforward request.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. There's no login, no basket and nothing it needs to remember about you between visits.

Google Analytics does set cookies — _ga and _ga_* — so it can tell a returning visitor from a new one. They hold a randomly generated identifier, not your name, email or anything you've typed, and they expire after two years.

You can block or delete them in your browser at any time, and nothing on this site will stop working.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing clients will be communicated directly.
